VEDA Achievement High

One of the best feelings in the world is the feeling of achievement. For the second year in a row I embarked on and successfully completely VEDA (Vlog Every Day in August) on my YouTube channel, imagineworkshop.

It might not sound like it, but VEDA can be insanely challenging. Uploading 31 videos in a row doesn't seem too difficult compared to the numerous successful daily vloggers on YouTube, but VEDA is a whole new kind of challenging.

Not only is August a busy month with school starting, but you are also feeling under productive due to being on summer vacation. That accompanied by lack of ideas and a time crunch to film, edit, render, upload, and CC all in one day can start to get stressful; especially when you have other things that need done.

Since it was my second year of VEDA I did feel a lot more prepared and I was aware of the problems I will face farther into the month. For example, I never just filmed one video at a time. I tried to film about three. That way I didn't have to look presentable to film everyday. It also eliminated laziness that comes with constant repetition.

Another major help I had was having back up videos. Especially farther into the month, you never know what could come up. This year I had my Five Nights At Freddy's videos (which I filmed in March), for example, to fall back on. Not only was that four less ideas I needed, but it was also a chance for a break from constant editing and stress.

I found video ideas to be a lot easier to come up with this year. Unlike last year, so many other smaller youtubers were also participating in VEDA. Many of them made videos I really enjoyed and had opinions on myself. So what better thing to do than to turn on my camera and jump into the conversation they started with a good old fashioned video response?

I'm insanely proud of the videos I managed to produce this VEDA. I wasn't just making content to make content; I made each video with a message in mind that I wanted to get across. It has been a challenging month, but the achievement high I got from successfully completing VEDA made up for it all!

If you didn't know I had a YouTube channel or missed out on any of the videos I uploaded this month HERE is a handy playlist of all 31 videos! Grab a cup of tea and a snack and enjoy your mini marathon!

Nothing special, but still meaningful.

Much Love,

Cinnamon Sugar Mini Donut Cheerios Recipe

The other day I was in the mood to rewatch the three Back to the Future movies. In the event of such a good movie marathon, I needed some sort of snack to munch on periodically. I really wasn't in the mood for popcorn so I decided to do a little research on simple snack foods to make at home and I stumbled upon a recipe for cinnamon sugar mini donut cheerios.

GREAT SCOTT! They were so good!

To me they tasted like snickerdoodles. They were the perfect snack because they were best in small amounts while also having a sweet and salty taste. Since they were super easy to make and tasted so great, I thought I'd give you this simple movie snack idea!

Ingredients:
1/4 cup butter
1/4 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
4 cups Cheerios

Directions:

1. On medium heat, melt 1/4 cup butter in a 10-inch skillet, then add 1/4 teaspoon vanilla.

2. Add 4 cups of Cheerios and stir until Cheerios are coated.
  • TIP: Mix between each added cup of Cheerios. It is easier to make sure all pieces get coated evenly.
3. Stir in 1/4 cup sugar and 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
  • TIP: Mix as well as you can in the skillet then move its contents into a plastic bag or container with a lid. Shake the mixture around to ensure all the Cheerios pieces are covered.
It's literally as simple as that! I found that they tasted the best when still warm. They reminded me of actual cookies (or donuts). This was a super easy and quick recipe that used up a lot of left over cereal that we have just had lying around the house.

Sadly, I forgot to take any pictures to show you (where was the DeLorean when I needed it?!). But either way, if you try this recipe out please let me know! I'd be interested to see how your movies snacks turned out!

Nothing special, but still meaningful.

Much Love,
