Dove's #OneShowerChallenge

Around a year ago I sent out a random tweet saying that I hated having frizzy hair because it was so hard to manage. Because of that, Dove tweeted me, out of the blue, asking for my address to send me a free sample product to try out. Sure enough, about three weeks later I got two sets of their travel sized hair therapy shampoo and conditioner.

Little did I know, a year later I would get another surprise package from them in the mail for free, yet again. This time, however, Dove pulled out all the stops. Upon opening the package, I was greeted with a beautiful white box with a gold Dove logo on top (accompanied with confetti).

When I opened the box, I was greeted with even more of a surprise! This time, without my knowledge, Dove surprised me with a loofah, a full bottle of their 'Gentle Exfoliating Nourishing Body Wash' from their new and improved body wash line, and a coupon for savings off my next Dove purchase.

Upon reading the letter attached, I found out that they challenged me to take the #OneShowerChallenge. The basis of the challenge is to take one shower using their body wash and you'll see instant results, leaving your body softer and smoother than before using their product.

So naturally, I accepted their challenge!

Right off the bat, the first thing you notice about the product is its color. It is white with blue beads, looking like a lotion rather than the clear body washes I have been used to from other companies.

Next you notice the smell. I prefer more of a fruity body wash scent, but Dove's was a very fresh and soapy scent. Much like if you think of a classic soap scent; you'd be right on the nose.

The part that surprised me most about the body wash was the amount you actually needed. I used about a dime size drop on the loofah Dove provided and it was more than enough! The product lathered up better than I ever would have imagined!

Over all, I left the shower feeling clean, which is the point of a body wash after all!

As for the product's claim to leave your skin softer and smoother in just one shower, I believe it did hold true. Granted, I do have naturally very soft and smooth skin, but I can still feel a slight difference!
